Ky ASA Grand Slam Tournament Team List-June 14-15

At Kentucky ASA we will ALWAYS provide a list of teams that are committed to our tournaments to help interested teams be sure of what competition to expect. If we do not get 4 paid teams from a division we will cancel that division. Based on the limitations of our beautiful host site, we will limit registrations to the first 8 paid registrations. Below is the list of teams that are registered for the Kentucky ASA Grand Slam tournament on June 14-15. I will mark (paid or not paid) next to each team. This tournament is an ASA sanctioned qualifier event with a LOW entry fee of $225. Just curious....where is the 14U tournament location?

They will be in Portsmouth, Ohio by Branch Rickey Park, 25 Mary Ann Street, Portsmouth, Ohio. If you are familiar with the Portsmouth area it is where the old Portsmouth Stadium is located by the Ohio River.

I know its a crush tourney but you better check on that Crush 13U team. They bailed at last minute the last 2 weekends in tourneys they were scheduled to play in.

Any results from the 12 and 14u pool play

14u was cancelled due to the number of teams.

Cincy swat went 3-0 in pool play and played the Pride in the final game of the night. I think it was 2- 0 with pride winning in the bottom half of the last inning. Cincy swat game back and scored three runs to win 3-2. Pride got the 2 seed. Then it went crush, blast, doom, and extreme in that order.

First game of the day was Crush over Extreme not sure of score, then Doom over Blast by mercy. Doom went on to play Swat in a exciting defensive battle with Swat coming out on top 1-0 in 7 innings. Pride over Crush by mercy, and I believe the Pride over Swat in the championship 3-2

I thought it was kinda amusing how they had the top 3 teams face each other in pool play, lol

Didnt they use Saturday's pool play to decide seeding in the tournament?

Yea, they used sat's results for seeding. You could definitely tell who was putting on the tourney....
