Just a congratulatory thread and some news on some SEO players . First , SEO has had a kid verbal to the toughest league in the land , the SEC . Michal Cunningham verballed this week to the LSU Tigers . She is a Wheelersburg soph. Years and years of hard work and travel have paid off for Michal and her parents. She made the commitment last week in Colorado . Her team , the Beverly Bandits won the bracket they were in also in Boulder , Colorado . Was reported she also homered 3 times in this one showcase event . great showing for sure .

Kiley Sosby ( Jr at WhiteOak) also competed in Colorado this week and her team , Laser Blue had great success . Laser's made to the finals of their bracket , which was nothing but # 1 seeds only , before losing to the Texas Glory . They gathered W's over Texas Clash , Fort Worth Batbusters , Nebraska Nemesis , All American Sports Academy ( NorCal) , Arizona Hotshots and Texas Magic . Cincy Static and MV Express also represented southern Ohio very well . Static went deep in their bracket.

The Buckeye Elite 16u and 10u teams have also had really good summers . They are both loaded with local players who are really good . From memory ( forgive me any I leave off any or misspell a name ) 16u are represented by :

Madi Phillips , sr to be at Notre Dame has had a great year with the 18u Stingrays . Her team finished 2nd at Laser Nation tourney . Tori Harr . also sr at ND is playing with the 18u Ohio Glory . Teammate Elayna Born is playing with the Ohio Passion.
I know this isnt an exhaustive list but just a shout out to the hard working , fast pitch loving girls . MD

Congratulations to Cincy Doom 96 for qualifying for ASA Nationals in Sunnyvale, CA at States this summer. Finished top 5 in 60+ teams (called due to rain, up on Ice Blue in 3rd 1-0). Kayla Seigla plays on this team and has followed up on hitting (13) HRs in HS with (5) so far in summer TB. Good luck DOOMERS! 1 of 3 teams from Ohio. (138) teams registered at this time. Still one of the top premier National tournaments.

Also winning the best tourney upper age showcase in ohio ( Stingrays ) is a big deal . Correction - Doom Gold won stingrays , not the 96er's .

Another note for real fastpitch junkies : Michal Cunningham's ( Burg soph) Beverly Bandit team plays on live TV in HD tonight at 10;30 on Comcast/ Fox Sports West . Championship game of the 16u PGF tourney live from Cal St Fullerton's field.
