Clay over Megis and and Eastern Meigs. Play Ironton and Northmor this weekend. Not sure wins or score count much in scrimmages. All three teams last weekend (Clay, Meigs, and Eastern Meigs) batted their entire rosters. Clay batted 14 (had two players out) and the other two teams batted 12 or 13.

Good thing Clay’s pitching and hitting is excellent because that’s the only way they’ll go far this season. If the other teams put the ball in play, anything can happen!

That really surprises me to hear. Clay usually is a very rounded program, who all did they lose from last year? Pitching can carry you sometimes though.

You sound like a disgruntled parent softball_fan1! Isnt that what scrimmages are for to see who can play where and to get the younger players some playing time in spots where theres a possibility if someones injured or sick they can fill that spot without missing a beat?

First off I’m not going to rant on this subject,
But Clay has played 4 really good teams (Meigs, Eastern Meigs, Piketon, & Ironton) and batted their entire lineup each game. Clay has scored 34 runs while only giving up 9 runs “5”earned in 29 innings. During this time they have only committed 8 errors and 5 were in the first two games.
I think the girls are doing great and I hope they don’t let other peoples’s biased comments bring them down.
This is an all-around good team.
