Burg spanked the Ironton pitcher, 14 hits, including bunts, line drives and one of the crazy plays for a run scoring hit I have ever witnessed. Too many weapons on offense, strong pitching and another gem from the defense. Once Burg got rolling it was over, congrats to the Pirates and ladies I hope you can finish this season with another State Championship.

Yes some of them... Howard (P), Lang (RF), Skiver (DH), and Myers (moved from LF to SS after Laney got injured). Also Salyers used as a pinch runner who is very valuable at her job. Oh and Thomas sees some playing time too..

Burg softball could possibly be on the brink of a dynasty. They have a lot of key players coming back plus throw in a Junior high team that went 42-0. Not sure who all they played but 42-0 is quite impressive. Howard girl on the mound is only a Freshman so three more years of her is going to be fun to watch.

The talent is going to be there that's for sure but you never know what might happen as they get older.
