SP vs. Ironton
This game got rained out a couple weeks ago, so they have not seen each other play. What does everyone think ? SP has definately played the tougher schedule, but the Lady Tigers are loaded with talent. Should be a DANDY !!

I think SP is the more talented team in this matchup. They have played some tough teams this year.
Has Ironton beaten a good team this year? Anybody outside of their conference? Their conference seems extremely weak, besides GAHS.

Re: SP vs. Ironton
Ironton's only oppenents with winning records are SV and Gallia . 0-1 against SV & 0-3 against Gallia. And yes, the south SEOAL is WEAK !! Chesepeake beat Gallia 8-2 early on, so this shows the conf. strength. Got to play those strong teams to get better !! I think SP played some good ones, which should make them well prepared for tourny time !!
Re: SP vs. Ironton
South Point's a pretty solid team juke boxer, it start's at the top, if you get the leadoff batter out and contain the 3 and 4 hitters you should be OK. They also bunt real well. The pitcher throws strikes so go up there swinging. Good luck in the game.

Re: SP vs. Ironton
Why wasn't this game played Saturday?
I have heard it was because of the O.V.C track meet.
Surely this isn't true.

Re: SP vs. Ironton
If you're rained out Friday, you play Saturday, if youre rained out Saturday you play Monday and so on, this is to keep the tournament games rolling. Did hear a certain shortstop won the OVC in the 400.

Re: SP vs. Ironton
OVC meet had nothing to do with this game.
that meet was friday the softball game got cancelled clearly by rain.
all of south points fields but the little league are awful drainage wise.
surprised they even played tonight.

Ironton 4-2 over South Point.
S.P scored 1 in the 1st on a passed ball and 1 in the 7th on,well I'm not sure.
They had bases loaded flyball hit to second, our second baseman catches the ball.It ends up being no out and a run scored.Could someone please explain this.At first I figured Catchers interfearance. But noone was on first after the umpires awarded the run.Anybody know?
Good game by both teams in the rain.
