NSA state tourney results for the Wild Thangs 12u

Not much to report except for rain and hacked off coaches/parents. Pool play cancelled friday, then after 4-6 hours of delays on sat , they cancelled it to. It was a nightmare for all involved. No communication at all. Then on sunday they went to 50 minute games with a drop dead rule. No revert back , no ITB. Most runners to 3rd broke a tie !!!

We did go 2-1 for the day on sunday but the wins were pretty hollow since we only played 3 innings. Beat Ohio Classics 4-1 and Ohio Dragons 6-0 before falling 3-0 to the # 1 ranked team in Ohio , Cinci Doom . They have a kid throwing mid 50's with super control. Nice knuckle change up, plus all the other pitches. Best pitcher I've seen this year.

We lost in the quarters, semi's were Lasers Gold over Doom95 4-3 and Stingrays over the Classics 2-1 . Laser Gold over rays 9-4 to win the NSA State "A" division. Last week the Rays won the ASA states in Fostoria. Best teams I've seen are doom rays and laser gold. Laser silver is tough also . MD

Tealtown was quite crazy this past weekend...lots of peeved parents, coaches and players. Too bad they had so many teams (111, I believe) and couldn't handle a little bit of rain. Oh well. I want to wish the 12U Wild Thangs good luck in the NSA World Series. We'll see you there !
