Apparently, from what I saw last year, voting wasn't based on stats so that makes your argument invalid.

Coach’s vote, posters has no say n voting. period. I say this you say that and someone else says something else, doesn’t matter . Coachs, let’s say you was Coach and all these posters made these kind comments about the voting, I’m sure this doesn’t help the people that each poster wants to receive all the awards. Let the Coach’s vote and Coach and I hope they continue to do great jobs in each. Thankless jobs and then all the griping lol

Pretty sure ERA and wins and losses didn’t factor in at all for the pitcher of the year

Coaching is a thankless , hard hard job .. but dont make it tougher on your self by playing the good ole boy's routine of " I'll vote for yours , you vote for mine"

In the big picture , is there pro softball. does any colleges give full rides and if so is it a small amount of money. in the big picture , percentages of girls or boys that receive scholarships and goes away, how long do they last, half a year, whole year, two years, look at odds on any of this, bottom line is the education in the end. This is way over blown nowadays. More of parents pushing and living there dreams out than anything. Travel ball is a recruiting grounds at younger ages and familys pull up and move because of a sport. Like I said its totally parents controlling all the win at all costs now a days, wheres the fun, it isnt college ball 365 days a year. LOL

EXACTLY..great post, enjoy your high school years because they are gone before you know it..and all this “recruiting” IS DEFINITELY blown up and when these girls and their parents get their “reality checks” will they be able to handle it?..I doubt it.. and that’s why very few make it for the long haul, education is top priority..sports are a bonus

Sat through many a meeting where this is the case. They create voting blocks. Very sad to see it happen but never fails to occur.

There is a lot of the good ole boy's voting happening in many leagues around here especially if the voters have a personal agenda. They can get votes by you scratch my back and I scratch yours.

There is always politics involved.. but, looking at not necessarily soc2, but just our general area on a map.. we have one of the if not the best area for softball in the state. Sure there are better teams throughout state, but from top to bottom.. it's hard to beat teams from SE Ohio
