Good to be back and taking in games again this year, Burg is not near the team of last year, but no way PW beats them at home. Ironton pitcher is the best of the SO throwers, no question. Thought Trojans would shine but they clearly below the Burg, need a little more pitching. Regional finals Ironton/Burg for State tourney bragging rights. Need to see a few more games before picking a winner!

West had a terrible inning with 2 or 3 rare errors. Pitcher definitely struggled finding her spots more than usual and credit is given to Burg for hitting her. They are a great team. But to say they have no chance to beat Burg at home is pretty stupid. I can't comment on Ironton personally because I haven't seen them play, but I can't imagine they are as rounded.

West can beat anyone. Burg is starting to heat up the past couple games. I’m not sure how many people would agree that burg isn’t near the team last year was. Burgs freshman SS is one of the better players in the area. Great defensive SS and great lead off hitter with speed and power. they returned 7 of the 9 starters and returned their pitcher, who is no longer a freshman. Burg has freshman pitcher who is very good and will give Howard some days off which should make her only stronger come tourney time.

As far as West, they make too many mistakes and not as good 1-9 as Burg. I don’t see them beating Burg the second time either.

West has made changes in batting lineups and in the field since first burg game. Wednesday should make for a really good ball game. If west can play with a clear head and not get intimidated like all west sports do when they play burg they can pull out the W imo.

hasnt Ironton taken a few on the chin recently by a couple teams that most wouldnt consider to be on burg or wests level?

I would guess Ironton will get around the 7-9 seed this weekend. For sure they will be behind Burg, Leesburg, Wellston, Portsmouth, West, Zane Trace.....
