Will Minford Find a New coaching staff?
Just wondering if Minford will be looking for a new softball coach for next season after the very disappointing season they had this year?

Have to comment on this one. As one that has been very dissatisfied for
the past few years. I would like to say that I believe Minford has a
good coach in what they had this year.
Even though it was a very dissappointing season, the girls playing did improve.
The attitudes most of the older girls seemed very unenthusiastic to say the least.
The guy knows the game. It was his first year coaching girls. I think anyone
should get a few years to see what they can do. The older girls just seemed
that they had attitudes from past experinces that they just could not get over.
The coach started out slow...I will admit that. He didn't know the girls at all.
After a few games and some shifting around of positions the girls didn't do
to bad at all. On top of that after he got the girls where they needed to be
the third game of the year their #1 pitcher went out with a injury.
When she got back two weeks later, their scores didn't look too bad.
She went down again. Missed a few more games.
I think everyone should give this guy a chance.
Lets see..he got the team three weeks before the start of practice,
No one could have done much with the team they gave him.
As always I expect great things from this team. BUT>>>>
I think at least another year is owed this coach to see if there
is any improvement. He didn't have a chance this year.
The only thing I would complain about is that he needs some
good help. I don't belive any one person can coach a softball
team and be successful. If he gets some good help. And parents
will back him and their girls they will see steady improvement and the team will be successful.
Will anyone ever be good enough for our Minford girls ? Probably not.
But this is what we have and we should back him for a few years.
See if he follows through with promises that he makes. He is
dedicated to the softball team...and only the softball team.
I think if we give him another year we are going to see a new attitude
in the team and a new Lady Falcon Team emerge from the dust
and become successful again.
I vote give him at least another year.

Who are his Assistant’s coaches? I agree Donnie Bennet will make a very good gorls coach if he has a chance and has some talent, especially in the pitching dept.
