We are getting close to the season starting... Thought it would be a good time to here everyone's opinions on the league this year. I will start:

1. Unioto - With everyone returning, including last years player of the year in EBay! They may run the table in the league!
2. Adena - Being last years champions still holds some cred, although they lost some pieces I still think they can contend!
3. Westfall - Lost some pieces, but I think they return enough to compete in every game they play!
4. Zane Trace - Mix what they return with what is coming in and they will give anyone all they want!
5. Piketon - Return good pitching and will be much improved everywhere else.
6. Huntington - Heard they lost Hannah Long (that is a big blow), could be competitive, but not sure.
7. Paint Valley - Riley in the circle will keep them in games.
8. Southeastern - Not sure they have enough to compete on a nightly basis.

To Be The Man You Gotta Beat The Man

Until somebody knocks Adena off they are the team to beat!

I believe that Huntington will be better than most expect! Early non-conference schedule should prepare them for play in the SVC:

March 24 - DH @ Logan Elm
March 28 - @ Rock Hill
March 31 - DH Portsmouth Clay/Portsmouth

I believe Huntington will be better than most may think! Good class of incoming Freshman, as well as returning most of the roster from last year. There early season schedule should more than prepare them for league play:

March 24 - DH @ Logan Elm
March 28 - @ Rock Hill
March 31 - Home (Tri) Portsmouth Clay/Portsmouth

Who will Huntington have pitching this season, any season veterans with experience?

Nope... Freshman will have to throw most of the innings!

Piketon should not be overlooked by anyone in the league, I see Adena as the favorite with Unioto right behind.

Too much inexperience on the hill for Adena so I'm going with the Lady Shermans to take the title this year. The league is pretty deep so it should be a great year for us spectators!

"Sheik Yerboutie" Awsome Name!

The SVC is going to be very competitive and balanced.
I just dont see any one team running away with it this year.
The team leading the league at the turn could
very well end the season in third or forth place
and the team that finishes the season in 5th could end up with the longest tournament run of all!

Huntington has a nice little team. Fun to watch pitcher and a CF that is literally everywhere...love watching outfielders making themselves part of the play.

Are you possibly talking about Hayleigh Swayne... believe she transfered from Peebles. A pretty good player for what I have been told!

I look for the Lady Redstreaks to be the surprise team of the league. And Swain is the real deal, no doubt.

Unioto 29 Hillsboro 7

The U's infield looked alot different then they did a year ago. The only returners in the same post from a year ago was Stout at 2nd base and Neff behind the plate. Freshman G-Wright was in the circle, E-Ward 1st base, E-Bay at ss and R- Wright on 3rd. E-Manson stayed in right as did Breezy in Left. Maddie T took over center field.
