I'd guess groves has to be a fav in the smaller school division. Thompson at Green is really good also. She is back this year right ?

MD,
Thompson is indeed back......along with Barrett. Either of those are capable of winning POY.

I would say Lainee Clay at Wheelersburg is fav in Div.II.

Thompson is back and deserving,
Ash from SV is also a contender and could also win an award again this year.
We should all know by now that Groves keeps herself from getting an award.
ATTITUDE..... Gets her every year....thats a shame.....
We will have to see what
this season brings .......
Good Luck to Everyone !!!

Is she playing softball this year? I know she didn't play basketball, so I was just wondering if she will play softball.

I my opinion there are multiple players on Clays team that are qualified for Player of the Year (Summers, Castle, Osborne). But it doesn't really matter I guess because even if Clay does win the SOC, nobody on their team will get the award. Simply because it is Clay.

Yes you are right , Clay does have some good players,
but In my opinion Cami would get the votes before some
of the other girls.
Cami is an awesome pitcher but two things she lacks on and off the field.....
CLASS and most of all RESPECT.
THEY go hand in hand...............

1st of all do you personally even know "CAMI", because if i'm not mistaken i've seen her play ball all 4 years in highschool, and not once has she made an issue on the feild of off the feild during softball season, it discusts me to think your supposed to be an "ADULT" and you downgrade kids, when you have not a clue what this "downgrading" does to kids. You put one thought in someones head, and have everyone whos lives revolve around these posts talking...Class & Respect? Where do you even get that she lacks this? I think you need to jump off your horse, and be more mature about what you say on SEOPS, you people have no lives if your number one priority is to talk "smack" about anyone, not just Cami but other kids in the SOC. Remeber they are just kids.

I have no dog in the fight, but....I dont consider it "talking smack" when the issue (classlessness) has been demonstrated time and time again. Note that I am not pointing out a specific player or team.

However, I am sure everyone could take a wild stab in the dark as to who was being discussed, does that mean I am "talking smack" no. for all you know I could be talking about pee wee herman. The fact that everyone "knows" who is being discussed is proff within itself.

I don't get it...I've watched a lot of ball games around Southern Ohio and have seen good episodes and bad episodes from a variety of kids...I just don't get what makes the the Clay pitcher stand out from some other kids...Honestly, this may sound bad, but I think it's just because she's tall, blonde, and athletic -- I really haven't seen her do anything any other kid hasn't...I'm just feeling some jealousy -- of course that's just imo...

Well if you go by their record you will have to go with Ali Thompson at Green. They are still undefeated in the conference. She doesn't get rattled at all even when down. Unless Green gets hammered by Clay which I doubt will happen I think Green has it pretty well wrapped up. Just my opinion!

I would like to think who wins the league would be the front runner but that was not the case last year...Clay won and Groves did not get anything...
