I would have to say Symmes Valley has the title this year.
With Green and Clay losing key players its gonna be
a hard year for these two teams to have a winning season as they
have had for the last four years.
Although Symmes Valley lost three starters they still return six from last year.
Should be interesting...
Good luck to all the teams.......

I wouldn't overlook East, they have what will be a three year starters returning at roughly all positions especially at the key ones with Williams-Pitching, Swords-Catching, and Dinguss- SS/2ND. I believe they only lost one or two seniors from last seasons team so this group of juniors have played together for a while.

Clay has people to fill in those spots. For Cami Groves they have Lyndsey Mader, she is probally just as good as Cami. The have a new girl from West, Marissa Messer she is a solid hitter. Plus all the talented freshmen coming up. Its not going to be hard for Clay to win this year there just as good as last year.

With the loss of the strong pitching for Green and Clay I think the SOC 1 will be a more competitive league this year. Have not seen Mader pitch but I hear she is good. Heard ND has a good pitcher also. Good luck to all teams-CAN'T WAIT TILL SOFTBALL SEASON!!!!

no one in the SOC1 will approach the type of speed/control/stuff Ms Groves had last season.

I would have to agree with ManitouDan
And also add
I dont see Clay being close to the team they
have had in the last few years.
Also....
Who is the head coach now....

Messer was in the Valley system...not West as her sister was....anyways her Grandpa and Great-Grandpa (my brother) and myself are Clay grads so me thinks she should be a welcome addition....and a super solid hitter.

It's really too early to tell who could win the soc1 title, but in my opinion it would have to be symmes valley. Clay on the other hand has always had a good softball program so who knows? It's gonna be interesting for clay due to a new coach and a new pitcher. I have to say that I feel for the Mader girl, she has some big shoes to fill, replacing Cami Groves, and that's gotta be hard for this young lady. I've heard that she has pitched for Clay since little league and has ASA experience so she should be fine. I have read alot of good posts about her, and am anxious to see her pitch. I wish the Clay team Good Luck this season!!!

1. Symmes Valley
2. 4-way tie:
Eastern
N.D.
East
Clay
These 4 teams will probably go 500 against each other, I think they are that close.
But I do think that each one of these teams are good enough to pull of the upset of Symmes Valley, just do not have the depth to win the league.
Shoud be a good competitive league this year.
Good luck to all the teams.

East will be strong this year. I think Symmes Valley and East fight it out for championship.

how is clay going to win without cami groves?

Believe it or not there are many people at Clay who are just as glad to see Cami gone as the rest of the SOC1 probably is. Clay will win games but as other people have stated the SOC1 will be more competitive without the strong pitching of both Cami and Ali.
Looking forward to a drama-free, injury-free softball season this year.

Clay has Lyndsey Mader and she throw pretty dang hard for her size.

East is going to be pretty tough this year. Williams on the mound, swords behind the plate, fisher @ 3rd, skaggs @ ss, Kammer @ 2nd, Lang @ 1st. Boggs @ CF. They have a couple of Freshman that will give the upper classmen a run for their money. The whole infield is some heavy hitters.. Can't wait for the season to begin!!

ND-6 16 hitts no Es
Eastern-0 On hits and 2 Es
the pre-season word was ND was down and would be lucky to finish 6th, just in front of western.
and Eastern was hot, only graduating one player had everybody back and would be fighting for the SOC.
WoW whats going on here. anybody at the game? give us the scoop!!!!
