Adena, Portsmouth, Ironton, Notre Dame, west Adena was about to beat Ironton when I left. Notre Dame will be tough the next couple of years, they looked young but good. Adena is a strong team, Northwest lost to them 3-1. Ironton looked strong too.
Ironton beat Adena in that tournament. The Lady Tigers were never down. They held them scoreless. It was 3-0 when the umpires called it due to rain. The score was dropped back to the last full inning of play. The final score was 1-0.
Northwest Lady Mohawks have had great teamwork this season! They have some good hitters. I think they have one of the best 1st & 3rd basemen in SCioto COunty with WIlliams & Ellis. Katie & Meagan are good ball stoppers. Good catching Rachel. Good job pitching Jordan. Way to throw hard. Hats off to the outfield Tif,Moos,Devan. Mohawks know it takes the whole team to win a game! Great sportsmanship!
I'll tell you one thing that surprises me. The Ellis girl on 3rd and the Lute girl are both great ball players and hard workers. Why SSU has not called these girls is unbelievable to me, either one would be an asset to Ralph Cole's team. Maybe someone from the west side could drop a bug in Ralph's ear to come watch these girls play.
Great job Brittany Ellis, Brittany Williams, & Brooke Jordan in representing the Northwest Mohawks for the 2010 softball season with all district and SOC. Way to work hard.
