So far the Vikings still have only one loss in the SOC 1. Losing to Clay 3-2. They beat a very much improved Ironton last night 10-8 at Ironton. Friday they play a DH with Western at home and Saturday another DH with New Boston at home. Monday they have a rematch with Clay at SV.

Where have you found Symmes Valley being ranked No. 7 in D-4? I have looked and cannot find it.

How can the Vikings be ranked 7th after losing to Clay. I heard they had a rough time with Ironton last night. Not good for a seasoned Viking team loaded with experienced seniors and talented Juniors. They are on the downhill side of the season. Unless they get their act together and soon and play some solid ball I say the lady vikings will go out early in post season play. Not to mention losing the SOC 1 if Clay beats them again.

It goes to show that rankings mean nothing. These polls are all about politics. Of course Clay should be ranked above them but that is the way it goes. I am not saying Symmes Valley is not good and shouldn't be there. It just means that Odie is more well known in the state and his team would get more votes. You just have to prove it on the field.

losing 1 game should'nt disquailify anyone from being ranked. I'd guess SV rolls Clay the next time they play. But in general YES , the polls are politics and tradition. MD
