By the looks of the radar it is raining there now. Better to be safe than have both schools travel over an hour a way

This happens every year with the Rio site. If it starts to sprinkle they cancel the games. I know that Minford and Valley sites got their games in today. Rio cancelled at 11 AM this morning. It doesn't effect softball as much since the pitcher can pitch every game, but baseball it puts some teams at a disadvantage if they don't have 2-3 good pitchers.

This is the norm for the Rio site in baseball and softball. A college field and they can't get it ready to play on? Minford, Valley, and Northwest evidently have better fields than Rio. Maybe it is they have no one to work on the fields or they just don't want their fields torn up. If that is the case move it to another site.
