as you know most of our girls are still with the basketball team , but it looks so far without potter we will be as good as when we left last year, collins is as strong as ever, and kratzenburg coming on as well on the mound so far. Should get bb girls sometime this week and really get going. freshman coming up will help fill in the gaps really good group of kids this year and already working together better than ever, as a team we will work hard and play one game at a time and see what comes ahead for us.

Rebecca Potter is one of those once in a lifetime kids that come along that will be greatly missed this year by all sports especially softball, and basketball already missed her bunches. heres hoping to full recovery and back on the diamond and court as soon as possible!!!!

There isn't anything on the other Ironton players so I wanted to say that Ironton's two big hitters, Elswick and Taylor are bringin it. 1st practice tonight. These two kept a nice contest between each other last yr. I know Elswick ended with 12 homeruns and I really can't remember what Taylor had. Can't wait to see what this season will bring. Good luck Lady Tigers! Plus Davis, McMackin, Fields are coming in from the basketball team. Gotta give the all-sport athletes a big hand for going full throttle from one sport to another. If I missed anybodys name I apologize.

That's only counting the ones over the fence.

thats a dinger every 8 to 10 AB's --- (up there with Albert Pujos) I'd think D-1's would be all over that type hitter , she getting any recruitment in softball ? The HR record for a career in KY is only 31 . Held by Amber Riddle from Rowan co. She went D-1 to Morehead St. MD

She has signed w/ Shawnee State to play basketball on a full 4 yr. ride. She has around 450 pts. this season alone in basketball.

she should def play softball also - I bet they did'nt hit 12 HR's as a team last season. ( actually they hit 13 in 52 games according to their web site, they gave up 11 to their opponents in 52 games ) so Elswick would be a asset. She must be a heckuva hitter.

12 home runs in a season would tie her for the 4th most EVER in a high school season according to the OHSAA web site. If she did hit that many it should be turned in to the OHSAA for recognition.

I think they tied W-burg, or it was really close, don't know how they did in the other two games. MD
