Seems the field was good enough for NW to practice on tonight.

would love to hear someone from NW give an opinion, They cancelled two weeks ago with us because the OF was damp. ?? whats going on out to NW?

From what I heard it was mutually change because of a school event, not sure which school.

Don't be critical of Northwest when Notre Dame does the same year in and year out. Why do you think Clay and Notre Dame didn't play on a perfectly good night last Friday? Notre Dame wasnt going to have all their starters???? if you have enough to play, you play! You shouldn't be allowed to pick and choose.

Waverly was set to go, NW cancelled for unknown reason. could have been a good reason, who knows ?

May have had something to due with the death of a Northwest student from a 4-wheeler accident earlier in the week

Once again, open mouth and insert foot -- ND was on Clay's schedule for April 8. It was changed at the request of ND because of some players running track also, which Clay rescheduled without any complaints. Do you know what it means to not complain?

you mean without any complaints , except for 'Bastongne" blasting ND in the above thread. FWIW the clay game you mentioned on April 8th was never on the schedule our coach passed out 4-5 weeks ago. not like a last minute cancellation of Waverly - NW.

No, I meant what I said, "Do you know what it means to not complain?" Clay had a shedule on their website since the beginning of school and they were scheduled to play ND on April 8. I don't care when you play them and they probably don't care either. The subject only got brought up because of your whining and complaining about the Northwest game.

Me and my cousin were going to attend the game..He went to Waverly I to NW.When we pulled in at 4:30 ish or so they (NW) were practicing on the field.That's all I know about it...But if they cancelled due to a death they should have cancelled practice as well...

Yes, it is called playing when games are scheduled not picking and choosing when you want to play. If that was the case, teams could cancel games because of illness, injury, attendance, didn't feel like playing on a Friday night, etc. to one key player. Are you suggesting that?

Notre Dame was scheduled to play on April 8 at Clay as indicated above. From what I have been told ND refused to play because they had some girls choose track over softball on that date. ND should have played the game if they had 9 girls.

You shouldn't complain about other teams canceling if you don't know the whole story or if "your team" has done the same thing. Glass houses...

this spring is a perfect example. With the rain and some of the stupid changes, i bet some teams will be lucky to play half of their games. Not fair to the teams who lose non conference games or have to play x number of games in a row because of opponents always wanting to change.

So you think it is okay to not play a game just because you are going to be missing one key player?

IF you are talking about making changes to the schedule BEFORE the season even starts I don't care if it's your team , my team , or anyone's team wants to make adjustments to the schedule it's not a big deal. If it cramped clays schedule or was unfair to them then they could have refused I guess. Can only imagine how much good will that would generate . my point is it's not a big deal to make changes to the schedule way in advance. My questions/comments about what happened with waverly/NW and NW/ND had ZERO in common with the situation you are bringing up. . Clay and ND are the best teams in the league, thats obvious, both should be at full strength when they determine the champ. Regardless of win/loses the 1st one it's not going to be determined til the last day in rosemount. MD
