10th annual GAHS HOF Class announced

The Gallia Academy Athletic Hall of Fame Committee selected eight individuals out of 26 applications for induction into the schools 10th annual ceremony during Tuesday (July 19) night’s meeting in the Media Room at Gallia Academy High School in Centenary
Three of the individuals will be inducted posthumously—Girls basketball and softball coach Gordon Baker (1983-93), Betsy Bergdoll, 1988, basketball and softball and Bill Gray, radio broadcaster and booster from the 1970s until the 1990s.
Other selections were: James (Jeep) Holley, 1954, football and baseball; Jodi Adams Sickles, 1985, basketball and track; Pete Neal, 1972, football and track; John Thomas, 1957, basketball and baseball and Bill Smith, 1939, football, track, golf and basketball.
The new members will be introduced prior to the GAHS-Marietta football game on Memorial Field on Friday, Sept. 16, and on Saturday, Sept. 17, a banquet-induction ceremony will be held in the GAHS cafeteria in Centenary
