Did Gallipolis and Warren Local get their game in today? Gallia had a downpour between 4 and 4:30 p.m.

Actually, Jottings, it's only 5:55 p.m.
Hard to play a 7-inning game in only 55 minutes.
If you show just a little PATIENCE, some folks will come along on here soon and answer your questions about whether the games — both baseball and softball alike — got played or not.

Gallia looked good tonight, Warren not so much. 6 walks in the first inning led to 5 GA runs. Not sure if any of the other 7 runs were earned. The Lady Warriors are struggling right now but will get the ship righted before long. Good luck to the Blue Angels.

The Gallia Academy Blue Angels improved to 2-0 by defeating league rival Warren 12-2 in 6 innings Wed. evening. Warren walked 6 in the first inning and gave up 2 hits to allow the Angels to jump out to an early 5-0 lead. GAHS scored 2 more in the fifth and 5 in the sixth
with 7 additional hits. Warren scored 1 in the 3rd and 1 in the fifth with a total of 6 hits. Sr. Heather Ward struck out eleven and walked only one to record her second victory of the year. Warren used three pitchers in the loss: Dennis, Huckill and Higgins. Heather Ward had a triple and a single and Mattie Lanham had 2 singles to pace GAHS. Kendra Barnes, Kanessa Snyder, Maggie Westfall, Violet Pelfrey and rachel Morris each had one hit for the Angels. GAHS hosts Meigs on Thursday evening, Logan on Friday evening and will play Hilliard Davidson at U of Rio Grande at 1:00 Saturday.
