Jackson 3, Gallia 2
Re: Jackson 3, Gallia 2
Whew.
First thing....no one can say they've been to a Jackson Ironladies game at home and not got their money worth! Walk-off winner versus a very good Waverly team....a walk-off huge comeback win versus a very good Minford team....and now we handed Gallia Academy their first league loss since Jackson beat them at Gallipolis 5-4 two seasons ago.
Freshman Kacee Jenkins moves to 4-1 on the season and 3-0 in the SEOAL. Big sister Kari Jenkins drove in the second run of the game and freshman Sam Humphreys drove in the game-winning RBI by scoring Kelly Hughes on a sacrifice fly to RCF. Hughes led off the inning with with a triple down the line and then scored the game winning run. Hughes also played a role in the win two years ago as a freshman getting the game winning single off of Amy Noe. Whitney Wills scored the initial run of the game by stealing second and scoring on an over throw.
Jackson moves to 5-1....good stuff so far. A LONG way to go in the league! Jackson has the early upper hand but the league is strong and Gallia Academy is an excellent team and will only improve. Tremendous pitcher and catcher that are state worthy and a bunch of pretty good swings in the lineup and some excellent defensive players. Warren has held suit since their loss to Gallia Academy....none of the others can be over-looked. LONG way to go!
Keep it going Ironladies!
