clay over leesburg fairfield 4-0 in the 1st game. fairfield was ahead of Galia academy 5-0 in the 3rd when i left. game three is GA vs Clay ( GA was holding their ace to throw against Clay )

(Philo's Haley Flynn racked up her 1000th strikeout during the top of the 6th inning of this game....16 strike outs for the game)

Game 2

Portsmouth West - 6
Philo - 5 (5 Innings)
(Game was only played for 5 innings (a little after 6 pm) due to the 3 hour ride back home for Portsmouth West. They were also late getting to the field because they could not find it)

Nope

schedule 12:00 game start but started at 12:20. Drove right to the field, just took a little longer than was told.
Great game by both. 4 to 5 philo in 8 innings 1st game and 6 to 5 West in 2nd game. Flynn did a nice job with 13 k's
and Abby Welch also was dead on for West. Good luck to Philo and Michele Smith the rest of the year.

I live in the just outside of the area and I can guarantee that cell phone service absolutely sucks in the Duncan Falls/Philo area. I guess its easy for out of towners to get lost down there, since Philo is the little village across the river where they ended up. The finally got a call into someone at the field to see how to get there. The high school is on the north end of Duncan Falls and all of the sports fields are located on the south end of Duncan Falls. The only thing people needs to remember when giving directions is to tell the visitors is to turn beside the Subway restaurant.

Never did hear a final on Gallia Academy's Blue Angles doubleheader at Rio Grande Saturday afternoon.
