Congratulations to all the girls who earned all-league honors.
But, I do find it surprising that Emily Fite from North Adams did not make All-league.
She has a .543 BA and 1.000 Slugging %.
North Adams was the only school that was not represented on the all-league team.

How in the world could the SHL coaches omit EMILY FITE from the all-league team? Her batting average is the second highest in the league! Her slugging percentage is the second highest in the league! Kinda makes the entire team suspect, doesn't it?

Sometimes some of the the best players do not make All League. Perfect example is Brook Henley for Manchester. Per Preps Cincinnati her average is .533. She batted over .600 for about 1/2 the season and had a whole bunch of doubles. She was a freshman and their starting pitcher. She took a team that I think won 1 game last year and made them .500 in league. It's like I told one of my daughter's team mates, people that go to the games know who is good.
Not taking away from the girls that made all league I think they are good players just saying some other kids were worthy as well.

Should be just league stats IMO
So am I inferring correctly that the coach was not present?

North Adams' coach was indeed present. From my understanding, all coaches were present.

WOW ! Being new to THIS forum, I want to apologize for stirring a hornets nest. I was just trying to give the ladies some props for a job well done.

Thanks, Gopher. I know your heart was in the right place. I also understand questioning the selections, but it does seem to take away from the honor of being selected by doing it in such a public forum.

Congrats to all the players who were selected and to Coach Forsythe. As always there are going to be players left off that could have made it.
