The future looks bright for the lady pirates. They will be returning 7 of the 9 starters next season. Both of the pitchers will be returning and a strong incoming Freshman class that will fill in the open spots. The program is going to have a good but serious problem with having a ton of talent and not enough positions on the roster. They really need to look into having a reserve/freshman team and start developing the girls when there Freshman and soph. so there game ready when they are juniors. The errors this year is what cost them in every game that they lost, The fundamental defense has been horrible for the last few years. The days of relaying on a stud pitcher to get you to the state level is over since they moved the mound back. You have to be able to play error free softball if you want an elite program. The hitting was great this year and will only get better next year. All in all a good year. Looking forward to the future.............
