Great opportunity to get in your swings with a competitive atmosphere!!!

Jackson Ironladies Softball team will be sponsoring an Indoor Hitting League for a 3rd year. It will begin on Oct.23rd. The league will consist of 3 member teams. You may sign up as a team for $100 or an individual for $35. The league will consist of 5 weeks in which each member of a team will get 30 pitches per game(60 pitches each week). PLAY 2 GAMES EACH SESSION. Hit once a week. Flexible times on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00-8:00, or Saturday from 9:00-1:00. This league will take place in "THE IRONMEN HITTING BARN" It is a heated Pole barn that has 2 full-size cages for hitting. The cages will be broken into sections with different point value. Team totals will be kept and the team with best record at the end 5 weeks will win chamionship T-shirts, along with the runner-up. Also individual awards will be given for Batting Average and RBI Total(Point total).

Pitching machine speeds are:
High School Division ---- 56 mph, 13 yrs. & under division -- 51 mph

WE ALSO DECIDED TO ADD ANOTHER GROUP AT THE 46 mph. in a 10 & under group.

Had the 1st night of the hitting league this evening, I felt it went very well. Enjoyed working with the younger hitters.

We currently have 14 teams (three members) registered for the league:
Approx. 6 teams in 11yr. olds & younger
Approx. 8 teams in 12yr. olds through high school

Not to late to register, close date is Sat. Oct. 27.

looks like our kids are having sat am hoops practice from 10-12 , sadly right in the middle of your sat times, no way to do anything on sundays ? Tues and thurs are a no go due to hoops.

Will you be posting the results after each week?

I will post scores of teams after the second week. Still have teams that are signing up. Had 8 more girls sign up today,
the league is up to about 17 teams(3 players per team). Has really taken off to be a good thing for players.

As for able to hit on Sunday, I am checking on availability. Should have an answer by Monday Night.

If you have a few players that would like to be in the league, they could hit on Sunday Mornings if they can't at any other time.

Possibly, we have had a great turnout for this first session (17 teams of 3 members each) I will give these players first opportunities to return. Our schedule will limit us to how many teams we can open it up to. There will be info on SEOP about mid Dec.

Also, hope to have some of the hitting leaders in each league posted by Monday night for anyone interested.
I believe the majority of the players have enjoyed the league and find it very beneficial.
Players seem to enjoy hitting more in the cages with a bit of competition with the scoring aspect.
