Jackson beats GAH girls, 5-3

Jackson''s Iron Ladies downed the GAHS Blue Angels 5-3 in an SE#OAL game at Centenary this evening.
Was a good game. Gallia Academy jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one but in the 3rd Jackson rallied and Jensen Oberholzer knocked in Annie Cantor and Madison Spohn to take a 2-1 lead. Jackson added on later in the game with big hits from Whitney Wills, Sam Humphreys and Madison Spohn.
Kacee Jenkins tallied the win for the Ironladies going all 7. Gallia Academy placed a couple runs in the 7th before Jenkins delivered the final pitch to Violet Pelfrey and she was tagged out by a hustling Spohn to end the game.
Pelfrey pitched the entire game for the Blue Angels....she was tough early and doing a great job of mixing speeds and location. She was pretty scary with the bat and had about a 200 foot triple. She also managed to make two outs on the mound on rockets up the middle courtesy of Riley Strawser and Lydia Poe.
Kendra Barnes had multiple hits for Gallia Academy.
Great team win by the Ironladies
