When a staff and a group of players all buy in to WINNING , and place WINNING and TEAM above all else , and the "I " is diminshed and the " WE" is stressed , great and enjoyable things happen. That seems to be whats going on in Jackson . Are they one of the most talented 8 D3 teams in Ohio ? I'd say most people would say " No" but the proof is in the puddin' . Elite 8 for the Iron Ladies . You can win games with will power and team work . congrats and keep it going .

We lead 2-0 with 1 out and 1 on 1st in the top of the 6th...the wind grabbed ahold of a deep fly ball and fell in and after the next girl got out they snuck a couple singles through the infield to tie it. In the top of the 7th they had a lead off double and the go ahead run scored on a bunt. In the bottom of the 7th we got a runner to 2nd but couldn't get her in.

So close.

Took down 18-3 South Point at their place 7-1
Took down a 1st team all-state pitcher 3-1
Defeated 20-4 Warren Local 6-3
Defeated 22-7 Philo 2-0
And had LV but couldn't hang on....was told after the game their pitcher is going to Louisville.

Great tourney run! Not many get to win their last game. Which hurts more, a blowout loss(we achieved about all we were capaable of), or losing a game you had within your grasp(will always reflect on what might have been)? I think as years pass the latter becomes more palatable, or it could be the opposite! I'm sure the latter generates more reflective discussion.

And Licking Valley wins their state semi game 4-1
