CHS 2012 Softball Team Academics Rank 5th in the State

Last season the OHSAA posted Chillicothe's HS softball team ranking 5th in the entire State of Ohio with a team GPA average of 3.8, this includes all HS girl's softball teams in Ohio in every division I-II-III-IV-V

OHSFSCA Team Academic Awards

School Coach GPA Weighted

1. Westlake HS Tom Shiban 4.222
2. Avon Lake HS Kevin Atkins 4.059
3. Twinsburg HS Tiffany Yehle 3.900
4. Coldwater HS Ken Fisher 3.834
5. Chillicothe HS Gregory Phillips 3.801

The 2013 Lady Cavs Academic goal is to improve from last season's academic honors with a #1 academic team ranking.

Now that's something I can say "bravo" to....nicely done and way to represent SE ohio as all those teams look like waaaaay up north places

Congrats.....in the grand scheme of things that's greatly important.

My girls cross country team at Whiteoak has won the league award in the SHL for highest team GPA the past 4 years....it usually translates to having a great bunch of kids to work with.

This is the 3rd consecutive year Jackson has had a valedictorian on their team.

That's wonderful "Ironman"... Jackson has always shown CLASS on and off the field and I know anyone that follows HS sports understands that academics is the #1 priority for athletes.
