OLD UMPS......... Can we discuss this in a nice manner? OLD UMPS need to retire. No need to ump just to supplement your SS check. I would just as soon
see a couple of dads out there as some of these old timers who constantly have their "rabbit ears" on. It is not just softball, you see the same old timers
in every sport. Maybe the young guys would come on board if they felt the school A.D.s would give them a game or two. Maybe pair the young with the old, at least you would have one ump who is up to date on the rules. I find that the older the ump , the more likely he is to make most of his calls favor the
the home team.

Got beat by a bad call from an old guy? The other losses where the stupid head coaches fault. Quit your crying and play ball.

GO get em Chaos. Of course I would be willing to wager you are correct!...Now...TO be honest. A high % of Umpires and Game officials of football and basketball in this area ARE NOT worth a SHI.... in what they are doing. There are a few really good ones. But not very many. But I will tell you this. There is a huge % of "Coaches" who ARE NOT worth a SHI.... either ...That is a fact!!...In all sports. They may think and act like they are. Some perceptions may assume that they are and claim that they are. But they are NOT. Some quality coaches. But very few in all sports around Southern Ohio. Just the facts. Same in officiating and Umpiring.
