Wheelersburg dropped a tight 4-3 decision to Ashland Ky last night . Ashland is currently ranked 14th in KY . ( under ranked as usual because eastern KY gets no respect in fastpitch) Ashland paper has a nice recap : http://www.dailyindependent.com/sports/ ... e6de5.html

Noticed where Russell mercy ruled # 1 ranked Symmes Valley 11-0 in other Ky vs Ohio action last week . SV has a solid team but voting them selves # 1 is laughable . If they earned it with quality wins over good opponents then you tip your hat to them , but their schedule is seriously weak .

SV still at #1 in Week 4 (4 - 1st place votes), Covington moves to #2 (4 - 1st place votes) , and Fairfield drops to #3 ( 0 - 1st place votes).

Isn't Strasburg Franklin supposed to be good year after year? They must be down this year according to the poll.

FWIW I'm not ragging on SV , they have a pretty solid team with quite a bit of experience and have had a great year . . They have came a long way since getting no hit by T Harr in the district last spring .

That has nothing to do with this year.
These girls have worked hard all season they deserve everything that have gotten so far.

Best of luck to you in the tourney , the district is really deep this year . Best thing about the tourney , you have the chance to prove it on the field . Should you guys advance past the district and run into Strausburg Franklin I hope you beat them .
