Tough to repeat but it'll be interesting to see if it can be done by BURG. Good luck to ND and unioto as well.

Burg has to go through Triway and Keystone. This year is going to be a lot tougher to win the state. Burg is loaded from top to bottom with great coaching. Notre Dame can make a deep run with those two elite pitchers. I don’t know about Unioto being in D-2

Unioto has a tough road to go- they are an offensive minded team- good til you run into elite pitchers- believe they get to the District but not sure Unioto makes it out of the District but will not have to face Sheridan or Athens. If they get out of the District Unioto will not win a regional game. Once you get to the Regionals your pitchers tend to take over- though Unioto pitchers are good they are not elite IMO.

I can't see Burg facing a tougher pitcher than the one they faced last weekend against Louisville Male. After they got their timing down, they flat rocked her and the girl they brought in in relief. They put up 20 runs against both in the 20-9 mercy rule win. They were also down 8-0 after 2 innings and then got busy.

I think the title is Burg's to lose

BURG gotta get by west again to repeat. Tough to beat a good team 3 times. Saw that in hoops between these 2 schools this year.

Big games tomorrow at OU starting at 4:00. Sheridan vs Athens and at 6:00 Hillsboro vs Unioto. Both games is for a trip to the Regional semi.

Yes, Wellston did outhit Burg.

Curious, how was Wellston only a 7th seed? Injuries during the year, bad luck, tough competition, etc? Just surprised this game was so close.

wellston has a really nice softball program. but. burg gets em about every year. eventually one of these times. the lady rockets will sneak past the tradition rich n loaded talent of a burg team. i like to see Burg repeat.

Correct. Wellston has built and somewhat quietly maintained an above average program. 17-5 record coming into this game ain't bad at all.

That's awesome that the top three schools all come from the same conference out of 31 schools. Congratulations to the South Webster Lady Jeeps, the West Lady Senators and the Wheelersburg Lady Pirates! Good Luck in the regionals!
