The 40 points were rumored to be a school record and he surpassed the previous mark of 35 held by his MOM, Andrea Harvey. Apparently it was just the girls record. I always thought those Harvey's were odd

The Flying Dutchman wrote:Turk, who drove to the Cabana Club afterwards for the postgame " interviews"? You do know that I heard Mahl many times on the workroom floor say that he was in junior high when you were in college but I would always call b***s*** and Mahl. would just smile
Lloyd Xmas wrote:Not to take away from anyone else's performances, but like was stated earlier, the Mailman (not Goose) played long before the 3-point line was painted on the court. As legend has it, quite a few of his shots were taken from beyond 20 feet (I'm sure TTT and RRR could verify that). With the 3-point line, Jimmy Mahl's 50 point game very well could have been 60+, and his 1,768 career points could have been 1,900+.
