Waverly @ Minford 9/27
Two good teams meet up tonight & this should be a good game.
Waverly has a great overall team with some real scoring threats
Minford has a great midfield. Can their defense hold Waverly down enough to win this one?
Thoughts on this one?

I look for this game to be great too watch. Both teams can score goals and have good defenses. Might come down to corner kick opportunites.

Waverly 3-1 final .....great game by both teams. Get well soon Luke Mcallister. Good luck to the Falcons the rest of the way.
Re: Waverly @ Minford 9/27
The win over Minford assures Waverly at least a tie for the league championship. Congrats to the Tigers, and Chris
Williamson goes back to back as league champions his first two years as head coach.

I understand the field conditions were not good, but Waverly was still able to show well. Good luck with the remaining season.

From the Tiger's website: 34 goals on offense, 2 goals given up by the defense in SOC league play. D doesn't sound too weak from the stats.

Field was just sloppy puddles and mud everywhere....lot of footing problems due to rain nothing Minford could do it just happens sometimes but you have to be able to play in all conditions. And anytime you can leave Minford with a win is a great accomplishment. The Blackburn kid #12 is fun to watch seems to be everywhere which is a good thing and bad thing, but none the less a very good player.allsportsfan1995 wrote:What's wrong with the field?

I agree completely about the Blackburn Kid. When Burg faced them the first time I thought we were never gonna get the ball beyond mid field, he was breaking up runs and stripping the ball every time I looked up. I would guess he is the main reason a very explosive waverly team didnt score more than they did.

Both Blackburn boys are good players. They did well against Waverly and other teams.
