Hopefully Green isn't looking for a new coach. I listened to their coach every Saturday morning on the "Call in Show" and he sounded like he really cared about his kids.

Just curious about how many coaches have there been at Nelsonville York and what are there playoff records like. Ny is a storied program. I am sure the records are outstanding. Cant imagine why they would be looking at a change. Is this for real?

I don't have there playoff record but they go almost every year. They won the 81 state championship, and they have had 2 coaches. Dave Boston Sr., and Dave Boston Jr. I don't think they are changing that many coaches on there staff. You always lose or gain coaches every year. :122245 :122245 :122245 :122245

Don't forget about Coach Meade... he led NY to 11-1 teams in 94/95 and 97/98... also won one playoff game in 98/99. Was really close to upsetting a 1 seed in 2000/2001 (I believe)

Yeah, I'd say that Coach Meade deserves a little credit. Considering he followed a very successful coach in his father-in-law, he handled a tough job well and he had success. He is a great person and a great coach.

Here's the years that Nelsonville-York has been in the playoffs:

1981....(State Champs)
1982....
1992....
1994....
1997....
1998....Lost Regional Finals to Wheelersburg 19-61
2000....Lost 1st round to Ashland Crestview L 13-14
2003....Lost 1st round to Monroe Central L 7-9
2004....Lost 1st round to Amanda-Clearcreek L 6-43
2005....Lost 1st round to East Knox L 28-35
2006....Lost 1st round to Columbus Academy L 21-55
2008....

That's all I could come up with for now.

'94 28-7 loss to the Burg after beating Coshoction 41-19
'92 was 14-0 loss to Ironton
