so, what i am getting from this is that i got bad info from a not so reliable source. i should have known...the person i heard it from has a kid on the team lol

Most of the talented Valley girls who were on travel teams are still in junior high. Those are the girls who will make an impact in the next couple of years.

Thats ok SWbaseballFan, i believe you might be on to something- several years ago a valley parent asked about what we were doing over in the burg to make our girls teams so good that we were going to the state for several years in a row- i told him that it started with seperating the 9&10's from the 11& 12's and he told me that they wouldnt have any pitching then, i told him that you are exactly right you have to develop it then, moms and dads would have to spend a lot of time teaching their kids on how to [pitch- with the help of Bill Kamer] and then you would be able to compete with the burg, west etc. Where do you think we caught on to it from. Travel ball is a hugh factor in the good players- they are taught and playing in some tough situations, yea they learn some in high school but most of it comes from travel ball- dont regret a bit of all the hotel rooms and playing in fields that sometimes didnt look like ball fields, if you want to be competive and get your child a look from college than that is where it is at. Valley will be tough in a couple of years
because they have a group of kids that are traveling right now.

Who? The Lady Senators will be nothing compared to Clay or Burg.
You must really be crazy to think that West is not comparible to burg or Clay, when is a west softball team ever not contended for an soc?And most of the time they win it?

I think Clay will do really good this year. Yeah, they do have ineligible players that would have helped the team, but I think Clay can still be good without them. If they play like a team and work hard they will win SOC l. No problem.

What ever happened to Minford softball? When I played they were our biggest competition, and we always beat the Burg. It seems to go in cycles w/ West and Burg now a days. West is young this year, but should definately contend for the SOC II title.
