Why are you taking shots at Vinton County? If the Doug you are apoligizing to is Doug Hale, I'm sure he's very glad there is a Vinton County. Afterall, half his team's points came from Vinton County in his sectional tournament victory.
I am not taking shots at Vinton County. I graduated from there (how bout you?) and am proud to say I work there and may soon live there again. I consider Coach Combs a good friend and the finest young coach in this part of the state. Coach Combs, his players, and staff deserve the respect and the accolades that they are getting. I just think that it is a shame that some fans and posters like yourself whom have several different user names get on this site and pound your chest and get onto threads that really have nothing to do with VC and bi@tch and moan about transfers that left in Jr. High. I did not hear one complaint 2 or 3 years ago when this all happened. Right or wrong, they left. It's over and done. Get over it. For that matter, why did they leave to begin with? I remember last year when one young lady transferred to Oak Hill she was roasted on this site for being selfish, self centered and not being a team player. None of which seem to be true. I don't think there is a problem in Oak Hill. I think there is a problem in VC that no one is talking about. Do you even know the coaches that you are underhandedly accusing of some sort of wrongdoing? Have you ever talked with either of them for more than 30 seconds? Do you know what kind of men they are? What kind of parents they are? What great educators they are? Find out about someone’s character before you start pointing fingers. It just seems like if someone else other than VC has any kind of success, that the cast of characters from VC begins the negativity. With winning comes responsibility. Coach Combs and his players have won with class and have conducted themselves like the champions that they are. I wish some of those in the community would follow their lead and learn how to handle and enjoy this success. I speak with several different coaches and players from all over Southern Ohio each week and I don't like the rap that VC is beginning to get because of some fans. It looks like the success is here to stay, so enjoy it and be proud of it! I know this will be really hard for you but don't ruin it by being an arrogant As#hole.
