The play was called so move on. If you had won you would not say a word. Athens was not supposed to even be in a position to win according to many post on hear from NY. I can't get over how many people from NY always crystal foul or finds excuses if they lose.

NY has good team and many of you need to take the lead from your team and act with some class.

Congrats to both teams on fine seasons. A special shout out to Athens on getting things turned around. Good luck to all next week.

Don't get your panties in a wad, if you attended the game, then obviously you know the controversy surrounding that play. Pictures surfaced that contradicted the call on the field, and they were posted. No one said, "darn you refs! You cost us the game!" (at least I didn't). All I did was put a picture up that showed why N-Y fans were all upset. Get over yourself, and move on.

No nerve struck here, just can't believe how some on here can't just admit they were beat. There always has to be some kind of conspiracy story as to why the mighty buckeyes got beat.

As for that picture, who knows when it was taken, and where his next step or two went. It doesn't mean a thing. Just like the safety that wasn't called last year at NY. Everyone had a different angle and a different story. Every game you can find a call that you didn't like and want to blame for the loss. Bottom line is Athens came out on top, and NY didn't. End of story.

Exactly, get over yourself and move on.

Good luck Bulldogs and Buckeyes next Friday.

Well said Axe. Perfectly said. Fans are always quick to criticize, which is what fans do, but the Buckeye fans who are crying foul, should follow the lead of their coaches and players.

The photo you are showing is at the 8 yard line and he was marked out by the line judge at the 9 so back up a few frames and check again, and isn't that a piece of white turf falling from the toe of his right shoe? Illegal players, photographic "evidence", C'mon guys you lost a great game by the slimmest of margins and now you're grasping at straws to find a way to justify being beat in your own minds, let it go move on to week 11.

Any game that comes down to the last play or series often has the losing side saying "yeah but" in the end, it happens at Athens and N-Y and I'm sure every other school across the country.

Is the question of eligibility really being used by a Nelsonville fan? I mean get real, how many games have they forfeited during the past several years for use of illegal players?

The real 'yea but' that should be brought up is ... 'Yea, but NY should have made the extra point that probably would have gave the Buckeyes the win.'

The soccer player for Athens wasn't the difference - it was the fact NY allowed the game to be tied 21-21 ... I don't think Athens scores again if the Buckeyes go up 22-21, the game could have been overwith right there. Also, putting the ball on the ground 3 times and losing all three - then throwing 4 INT's kind of had an impact as well. I understand frustration when a team losses a very tough ballgame, Ive been throug it numerous times (i.e. NY vs Athens in 2009 and 2010 ... Alex vs Athens in 2010) ... But I never blamed the refs or Alexander's soccer player (Yazdani) - I looked inward and had only the Bulldogs to blame for what happened throughout the game to allow them to be in a position to lose.

Buckeye_Master. Show me that picute with his foot on the ground then I may be convinced he was in. that picute show him mid stride with both feet off the ground. There is no proof from that picture that he was "in bounds" since his foot isnt even on the turf. Either way I thought the refs were bad on both sides of the ball. Nelsonville got hosed with calls as well as Athens, just the way it goes. It all started by giving Athens a delay of game to start. Give me a breat, big crowd, everybody is amped getting ready to start and they throw a stinkin flag, c'mon man!

Calm down princess, I wasn't crying foul and haven't said a word other than posting a picture of one of the very things Buckeye fans were upset about. I never gave an opinion on the game one way or the other. I'm not sure what I had to "get over" but if posting a simple pictures gets you this fired-up, I'd hate to see your posts if that play had decided the outcome of that game the other way.

As for the extra point, you can hardly say that it's the big "yeah but". To me, that's the turnovers. You can play the "yeah but" game all day long, does Athens honestly win that game without their soccer player? If the refs favored "the call" the other way, would Athens fans be crying foul?

Opinions don't really matter, just productivity in week eleven. I wasn't attacking anyone, or stating anything about the game, simply posting a picture of something that was being disputed. That's all.

I'll just say this. I hope it makes you pleased to put this on the shoulders of a 17 yo kid. I realize there are some fans crying foul. I seem to remember Athens being upset with a FG or two in the past. I realize this winning consistently is new but learn to do it with some class just as some NY fans need to learn to lose with some. You've now posted this twice. I certainly hope you think twice before doing it again. It's just simply beneath you I would think.

My intention was not to put anything on one players shoulders buckfan84 ... It was simply a 'game observation' to counter the remarks made about the Athens kicker being the difference ... The same comments were made last season in regard to Noah Alassaf - but nobody meant to put the kid down - the missed extra points were just a major factor in the games Athens lost (but by no means was their intention to make it seem like Noah's fault.) ... I don't care who kicked what in any of the games; I'm just stating that the plays themselves were big factors.

I sincerly apologize if it appears differently.

I'm just saying its a team effort win or lose. Had we not had 5 turnovers, played the first half like we did the 2nd, had Athens not played a great game etc. it didn't come down to just one missed kick. It was a one play in many that could've changed the outcome. Again, congrats to Athens on the win. Good luck next week and represent the tvc well. I'm glad to see the tvc-Ohio represented by the champ against the Seoal champ. Make us proud.

It was 7 turnovers buckfan ... No team ever wins with 7 turnovers - you are absolutly right - it wasn't a kick that lost the game for NY ... or you can flip-flop it and say it wasn't a kick that won it ... You turn the ball over seven times - its pretty hard to overcome.

I meant 5 turnovers in the first half but you're definitely right 7 made it impossible.

Jesus petes!!!! Buckeye fans, get over it!! Sure we had turnovers in the first half, but " doesn't good teams create turnovers"? Athens played one hell of a game and we lost. Is NY bettter than Athens, not on friday night, we made a furious comeback and we fell short, period!!!!!!!! Both teams are very talented and its time to put this thing to bed and start focusing on next weekend.. Too bad NY and Athens both play on Friday night... That could have been a weekend of gridiron bliss for us fans of the game...lol..... GOOD LUCK BUCKS..... GOOD LUCK BULLDOGS.. we're pulling for ya..
