Summer Camps for Junior High

Post by TAR HEEL FAN44 »

Maybe a little earlier for this but I am wanting to know of any good camps and shoot-outs? I have Rio, Shawnee, and Piketon(if they have one..missed out last year). Anyone know of any local schools having anything? We are going to try to have something at West Union? I hope!!

Rio Grande typically has some nice camps - individual and team both.

Piketon will be having their shootout again this summer. Not set in stone, but looking like the 11th of July a Saturday. Expecting a good turnout again this year.

Last years teams included, Piketon, Warren, Wheelersburg, Vinton Co, Adena, North Adams, Huntington, Eastern Pike, River Valley, and a couple of others that I cant remember. Should be a fun summer of bball.

Great! It was awesome last year. Both Vinton County teams were there.
Why did you not use both gyms at the old school? We scrimmaged there in Dec., and the gym was in great shape. I assume it was due to not enough officals.
Great shootout I recomend it to any team that can make it!

Piketon is a shootout, not a camp. 8th grade and 7th grade teams competing.

Rio's camp is as billed a "Hard Work Camp". I went there for 6 years (under Coach Lawhorn) now my son is ready for his 6th year. I've been to many camps for a skill camp this camp is as good as any in the country. Coach French and staff do an excellent job. Piketon sent 20+ kids there last year and it is well worth it. The triple is awsome.

The JH shootout is also very good.

Does anyone know the the date for the Piketon shoot-out? And I am looking to get in another shoot-out this summer. We are going to Rio-Grande and Piketon (if they are still having one) looking for one or two more. Any ideas?
