To my knowledge neither team defeated the Burg this year. The regular season games were good games though. Minford 7th lost to the Burg 7th during the tournament and was not a close game.

He was. Good first half. The Minford boys looked tired in the 2nd half.

No disrespect intended. The boys did play hard. Just think they could have used a few more on the bench to give them some breaks.

Speaking of the bench, where was it for this game? They seemed to be missing a few besides the point guard who sat out.

Three quit before the last game. I don't know why they quit or why the timing. It seems very strange to me.

It was bad timing three quit or chose to go do other things because they weren't getting playing time and having your point guard out did hurt, but a few kids that really didn't play much this season stepped up and played hard showing they should have got more time on the floor during regular season.

I agree that things will change come 8th grade for this team......but am I wrong in thinking that even if the boys had been there, that they would have played more than a minute. They didn't seem to in any of the other games. Can't develop a bench that way. That's some good talent going to waste but that's just one guys opinion.

Don't think Coach Justice will there...just turned his keys in. Good luck to all the boys next season.

I agree a good deep bench is important to a good team. It really hurt both West 7th and 8th grade this year. The starting 5 for each of these teams could play the first half with any of the teams they played, but after half and a lot of pressing and only 1 good sub the boys just tired down and fell apart.

I've watched these boys play and they had a good bench. I think this team could have went 8-9 deep. The boys just weren't used and you can't just let good players sit. There had to be a reason. A couple of those boys were good point makers for the team.

I have heard the same thing about Coach Justice. So who is going to coach the jr high next season? I've heard a few names being tossed around, but can't recall the names, I know that their is a 6th grade travel team with a non parent coach, because he had them over at the west tournament??

Coach Justice didn't leave due to the parents at all. The parents were great and the 8th grade boys worked very hard for him and coach Gambill. Both coach Justice and Gambill are very proud of their hard work and dedication during practice and games. It's just time to move on...

As for the upcoming 8th grade...another year with coach Allen and learning his system...they will be fine.

Good luck to all the falcons.

Ken and Gary did a great job by all accounts. I wqs hoping Kenny would stay with the coaching at Minford.
