Fed Hock lost to Beallsville (17-3) 68-67 on January 2nd up on their tiny little court in Monroe County. If you've ever been to the old middle school gym in Stewart, the floor at Beallsville is about the same size. Lancers had to play 8 on 5 the entire game and still nearly pulled off the win. Worst officiated game I saw the entire season, boys or girls.

Fed Hock beat Beallsville in the rematch in Stewart 72-64.

Steely Dan was right on about the game that the Lady Lancers lost at Beallsville. If you wanted to shoot a 3 pt. shot from the side, you couldn't because the out of bounds line was within inches of the 3 pt. line. But the officiating was the worst I've ever seen in any game PERIOD!! I thought the cheer of the night should have been GIVE ME A H_O_M_E_R, what's that spell? Homer!!!!!!!

I am surprised that Burg is leading this poll. Burg has the better league but is not the better team. Federal Hocking by 15-20. I will be there pulling for the Pirates though.

Don't know the final, but Fed Hock won by 6. Fed Hock was up 24-14 at the half, then Wheelersburg cut it to two and the ball with 4 minutes to go.

Congrats to Coach Spradlin and his Lady Pirates on a fine season.

Federal Hocking 49 Wheelersburg 43.

Wheelersburg cut it to 3 points with 6:50 remaining and had the lead cut to only two several times in the fourth quarter. The lead wasn't more than four again until the final minute.


Slow start for the Pirates made the difference in the game as they outscored the Lancers in the final two quarters. Unfortunately for the Pirates, points have never come easily this season. Teamwise, the Lancers seemed comparible to Minford or maybe Valley. All three have a good bit of natural talent.

OK, this was truly the atypical game for the Lady Lancers. Who, in their right mind, would have thought that Fed Hock could have both Dunfee and Butcher score 7 points a piece, and the Lancers win????

Geesh, I can't remember a game in H.S. where the both of them went less than double digits and we still pull out the win.

WOW, what a great win for these girls. CC and Julie really picked it up and our post players made the difference in this game. I'm not taking anything away from our two premier players, as they were feeding the ball in the post and penetrating, which made the Pirates even more susceptible to the Lancers post game.

This was a big win for the Lancers, considering who did what, and how Wheelersburg tried to defend our girls.

March 7th in the CONVO may be a very memorable day for Federal Hocking Girls Basketball, I'm feeling it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great game Lady Lancers and a very valiant fought one by the Lady Pirates. The game for me was too close because I never prayed so much at a game before. Congratulations to entire coaching staff and thanks to all the fans that drove to Waverly. Let's keep it going girls. Enjoy the trip to the Convo!!!!!!!
