Good luck to the Pointers.
Also are the clearing the gym between the games? I know Ironton plays at 6:15 and South Point right after them...will I have to buy another ticket to watch the Pointers?

one ticket get you in for both semifinal game but if going to finals friday or saturday plan on clearing the gym and paying to reenter..... rediculous
Re: South Point vs. Federal Hocking @ Jackson 2/25
thanks theassassian. I thought that was how it worked. My friend's son plays for the Pointers and I wanted to see some of that game but didn't know if I had to buy another ticket or not.

(The Gloaming wrote.............Just want to state for the record...that West Virginia Ball is terrible.)
I do agree that WVA ball is not as good as Ohio Basketball................but Charleston Catholic has a nice team and a history of a successful program on the state level which you can't sneeze at even if it's WVA. They have some talented big men. Seemed they lacked good guard play though. Were you at that game??? My understanding they are leading or near the top of WVA small school division with FH being one of just 2 or 3 losses. Anyone else have solid info on that???
FH can have streaks that they play brilliant basketball and in the same quarter they can disappear. Some games I believe they may have forgotten to show up. Lots of youth on this team including "basketball youth" without much real game experience until this year. Sometimes that youth comes through but they are improving and showing grit and stamina in these last few outings. This is what you want to see late in the season, improvement, which they definitely have shown.
Coach E has done a great job down the stretch calling early timeouts and helping the kids to refocus. I hope the boys will come with their fire already lit tonite!!!
Many people predicted this team was only capable of winning 5 or 6 games but they bested that by 2 (8) - more than some of our "friendly" prep posters gave them credit for. They also played big time spoiler in the TVC Hocking by knocking off Southern and Trimble in the race down the stretch and I THINK they finished out 3-2 in their last 5 games which included Alex and Warren. At Warren they dug a whole of 18-0 early on and then played even, loosing by 25 after subbing in the 4th. It they had started "on time" I believe they could have hung strong with Warren. Coldest shooting night I've ever seen for this team!!!
Tonite, Lancers just need to bring all to the floor and leave nothing behind. BELIEVE AND EXECUTE!!! Your fans believe in you and are behind all of you 100%!!!!! Thanks for all the time and hard work you have put into your game this year!!!
Good luck to the team, Coach E, Coach Cottrill and Coach Thompson!!!!
The Foxworthy composite minds will be routing for you!!!
GO LANCERS!!!!!

Re: South Point vs. Federal Hocking @ Jackson 2/25
A note on FH coming down this last 5 game stretch, in the Warren and Alex game one of their leading scorers was injured and sat out one game and was severly hampered in the other one. He's back though and firing away.
Go Lancers!!!

Re: South Point vs. Federal Hocking @ Jackson 2/25
Nice game by the Lancers. I thought they played hard and they played well but just came up short...Thanks to the seniors Grant and Justin for all the fun over the last 4 years. Coach E deserves kudos as well for the job he has done.
Also a nice bit of sportsmanship when Thompson went out of his way to shake the injured SP players hand. The two of them had been battling all night but Tyler really showed class as the kid was leaving the floor.
Good Luck to South Point.
Let's see all the Lady Lancer fans at Waverly Thursday evening.
