Yes it was a first round game. Someone mention 3 coaches in 3 years. The first two won TVC titles and had a winning records. The third a losing record, no TVC title, end of story period. I watched three games and don't feel they used Smith enough. Good luck to Smith and Stanley.

YOU TWO AMAZE ME WITH ALL OF YOUR VALUABLE KNOWLEDGE, NEITHER OF YOU HAVE SAID ONE POSITIVE THING ALL YEAR. THEY HAVE THERAPY FOR THIS, OR SOME MILD MEDS. I THINK THAT THE OVERALL OPINION OF THIS SEASON FROM 99% OF THE PEOPLE IS THAT THE TEAM AND COACH DID A GREAT JOB FOR A REBUILDING YEAR. THEY DEFINITELY WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO WIN THE SOUTH POINT GAME, AND ALMOST PULLED IT OFF. HIDE BEHIND YOUR KEYBOARD AND TRY NOT TO JUMP IT WILL BE ALRIGHT ASSASSIN AND ATHENS78. MAYBE YOU 2 COULD PUT IN FOR COACH AND ASSISTANT NEXT YEAR SINCE YOUR SO FULL OF YOURSELVES.

and you don't hide behind a user name? First if your happy with a losing season with the talent you had then so be it. Smith, Stanley, Thompson, Torrence? It doesn't get better in years to come. The JV team wasn't very good and not much coming up from what I heard. Again if your happy with 8 wins congrats on that. If either of the two previous coaches had this team they would have won the league. Now take some medicine and a nap.

They had more talent then anyone else in the Hocking and couldn't win it. No they didn't have as much talent as past teams, but neither did the rest of the league. Again Butcher or Vales would have won the league, even Chadwell would have won the league if he coached with this team.

I don't think it is fair to compare Coach E with these past coaches. Past coaches may have done better or worse with this year's team. It's all speculation. I thought Coach E did a good job with these kids. I agree this year's talent was a little thin but I disagree about the rest of the league. Waterford, Southern, Trimble and Eastern were all better teams this year than last.

Let's hope so. He did a very nice job, considering the hand that he was dealt and it was his first year. Some of these people who said that the prior coaches would have won the league with the "talent" that he inherited are full of crap. Frankly, I even hate to acknowledge these idiots, but feel that I must, based on what has been said, how others have responded, and the continuance of these negative nellys to try and "paint it black". They can crawl back in their holes and hide behind their monikers on here. The talent pool was down this year, and may be a little bit better next year, if Chris is given the opportunity to work with these kids for a second year.

I'm going on the record and saying that I hope that if Coach E wants the job next year, the school board and AD do him right. I'll leave it at that, and those who know me know that I have absolutely nothing to do with the boys basketball program.

I'm a supporter of our kids, in all sports, all seasons, period.
