Re: North Adams vs Portsmouth
Guys I sure wish that I could join you for supper and the game, but other obligations keep me from it. I am trying my best to free myself up so I can join you at the convo.
You guys take care of those colds, and enjoy yourselves while rooting the Trojans on to victory.
Trojandave I sure hope that you get to keep that 4 time state championship hat on your head, as the Trojans give 4 solid quarters of effort and hustle on to victory.
Your post are right on as what the Trojans need to give in their effort. Also in how you've responded to all the negativity about what happened 10-20 years ago and now. Completely different eras. Like comparing apples and oranges. What I thank God for is that I got to be a Trojan all through the glory times of the 60's, 70's ,80's 90's and the present decade. That I also was a faithful Trojan even through the lean years. You and the rest of the guys no that I'll always be rooting regardless of the miles between me and the Men of Troy. Wow we are getting up there in age my friend, but GOD willing we will be here to root the Trojans on for many more years to come.
God Bless all and Travel safe.

I hope Tobias is feeling well enough to attend the game.........the travelling "man box" needs him...........
Re: North Adams vs Portsmouth
game day,,,,Im sure BOTH COACHES,have told the teams to, put the regular season behind them.
North Adams, is 20 and 0,,and Portsmouth has to look past that, and realize, this is a NEW SEASON, come out focused, and ready to play, and leave it all on the floor, for the seniors "on both teams' a loss, means the end of youre basketball careers as a high school student.
GO TROJANS.

biggdowgg: Maybe the fact that a loss means the end of the season will help our kids to focus better.......I don't think that 20-0 will bother us with the competition we have played........you know us........sometimes we are our own worst enemy...........I agree 100%........we must be focused and ready to play........anything less and our season ends today.

I think Portsmouth poses alot of matchup problems for North Adams,I really like the Trojans in this game!Unger will have his no doubt but shut down the others and I think Portsmouth is fine! They have played a much bigger schedule as well that could be a factor!

Re: North Adams vs Portsmouth
What a wonderful program North Adams has, they play good team basketball very sound and I love to watch them play. With that being said lack of quality competition night in and night out in their league will hurt them in the tournament.
Portsmouth being a 9 seed is misleading they play in a conferance with some very good teams, Chillicothe, Zanesville, Marietta, Ironton so it wont be a shock to them to face a good basketball team they play one every night, this could be a very good game and will be a good test for North Adams.

I'm going to stick with the Devils in this game..I've seen them play a few times this year and they looked awfully good...Portsmouth is a very dangerous team when playing good...but they need to do that for 4 quarters if they want to win this one...I'll be at this game, very exciting game for that matter..

Key players need to step up for both teams...
So who do you think will have the better game...
Unger?...Or Williams?

Williams will have to have the better game for Portsmouth to win. I also expect him to have the better game because he has brought his game every single night even against the very tough teams on Portsmouths schedule. Unger will have a good game but Williams will have a great game.
