You're right...Valley does a great job of getting into the paint w/out much size. Against Waverly (6'5, 6'5, 6'7, 6'4), they used great ball movement and efficient cutting to get great looks amongst the trees. They were able to finish against us at their place. I was really impressed with their progress from the first time we played. I haven't seen Westfall, but second place in the SVC this year is pretty strong.

Westfall was the SVC Co-Champion....not 2nd place.

I have to agree with everyone else, this could be the best game in the bracket!

Westfall is a very good team. They def. outsize the indians but so has every other team this year. They struggled in the 1st half against West Union to get some shots to fall. Arbaugh finally got hot and hit some 3's. Utley once again had a great game, that kid is ready for tourny time. Treg did get in some foul trouble but once again ran the floor very well. One thing the Indians have is depth. Winters and Webb come off the bench ready to play, and play hard. Winters has hit some big shots from behind the arc this year. For the indians to get a win here they will have to play HARD defense and protect the paint.

I'll take the Indians by 5.
Good luck Indians!

According to the bracket, the game starts at 5. Should be a barn burner at Waverly that night with these two teams. Valley plays at a break neck pace, just now reading up some stuff on westfall, but from what I have read, I will still have to go with Valley by 6. Should be the best game of the night.

I hope they dont get any SOC officials, that would be horrible! lol Trying to find officials that havent worked either league in this area would be very hard to do! Dont start setting up a loss already!

I think I can make into town for this game....Ashley is going to David Cook tomorrow, and so we'll be at her moms. So, are we pre-gaming? I was going to just stay up here, but If we're going to pre-game I'm in..

We play that way no matter what. If you have a team like this where you are 8 and 9 deep, and they all play defense well and are up in your face, then you must finish that way. I know it can look bad in this case, but I would rather them come out and play hard until the end then to change strategy and not feel comfortable next game. Besides the spread was only 16 1/2 so he had that in the bag. Hopefully you didn't have the other side.

I was wondering what the spread was. Figured you knew.

Thanks Cmo! Go Valley. Treg's been a little sick this week. Just talked to him, and he feels alot better today. Everyone practiced and will be ready. I think Valley will come out ready to play their best game tomorrow. We have played 2 games on this court now and we will be comfortable from the beginning. Play hard Indians!! Use your depth as an advantage. I think Valley should be a 4 point favorite. Just my opinion. Valley 75 Westfall 66. And by the way, there was too much air in the ball against West Union. Treg said they finally took some air out of the ball during the 1st half of the Westfall game. Westfall is a good team and I expect them to come out and play tough. Hope for no injuries on either side.
