I'm all for the players supporting their coach up until the move is actually made.

However, if the move is made, the kids should play. Not playing because of an administrative decision shows a lack of character. NY football is bigger than a coach. It is bigger than any one player. If it isn't, then NY football isn't what it has been hyped up to be.

What will these kids do when they have a job they can't afford to lose, and their favorite manager is fired? Will they quit and hurt their families? This is life. If it happens, Boston should be telling them to play.

Also, I am not saying this is the case with Coach Boston, but I think of the adults I "liked" when I was in high school, and it was typically because that person was "cool" for reasons that should cause that person to not be around kids. Again, not saying that is the case here, but that is the reason kids can't influence these decisions. The decision must be made based on substance. If they have it on Boston, he should be fired. If they don't, he shouldn't be.

I think most MEIGS supporters are concentrating on other sports and football isn't a priority for posting here till track/baseball ends.

I think it will come down to Meigs/NY for top place.

I think that NY will be what they are, a school with a lot of pride and character. After this has all been settled and people have a chance to cool off you will see what the NY program is all about. Only time will tell.

Boy that would be something to see, NY being able to just look past this whole fiasco and stick to the basics; Pride, Tradition, and Excellence.

Look for Vinton County to be vastly improved from last season. I've been talking to some people and I hear the kids are really hitting the weights hard. VC has always been at the top of the TVC or right there knocking at the door until last season. Look for things to get back where they were. We have a strong tradition to build on and I look for VC to challenge for a league title this coming season.

lets hope so,last year they showed no emotion on the field,it was kinda sad..Athens should be very solid,IF they do all the things required such as a GREAT off season and i really dont see that out of this class,but i hope it changes,and a very good summer program. but they have to replace 3 very experienced Sr LB's,so they need to teach a whole new linebacker squad which is very hard. Not too mention replacing Tope is the biggest question obivously..we will just have to see,but like i said it all depends on how the winter workouts out went in my opinion.....

i would like to see someone on here backing meigs. at the end of the year alot of posters where singing chancy's praises, and rightly so, let's get excited now. there are only a few weeks until summer practice. get the kids whipped into a frenzy, have a mission this year. if ny truely is going to let boston go... this may be our year. show the kids you want it.

i really do hope things work out. if meigs wins i want it to be against your best effort, not because you are not ready to play. in short we want to win but we want to beat your best. good luck guys believe me i have seen what losing a good coach for a mook can do to a team. i would not wish that on athens ( maybe alexander but not athens)

Orange and Brown.....I seriously doubt the rest of the TVC-Ohio is just going to simply roll over and bow down this season for Nelsonville-York.

The Buckeyes, which are still the team to beat in the league, boast a big target on their chest and they should receive strong challenges from the rest of the league.

If I were you, I would try to exhibit some degree of class and begin preparing for the upcoming season instead of displaying the enormous amount of arrogance your posts — more often than not — reveal.

It's okay to be passionate about one's team, but there is a line which often becomes blurred between passionate and arrogant.
