Being the biggest school in the hocking that is not very good.

I'm not a Federal Hocking fan but I have to back them up on this. Federal Hockings numbers aren't as high as they use to be. They compete every year, just because they don't have many titles doesn't mean they haven't had good football teams. Trimble just over-achieves in football so you have to tip your hat off to them.

True. Though, I was addressing a person who said they have never won it. I also pointed out that even though FH is a D5 school, they have sports interest like a large D6 IMO.

It's hard to convince a kid without a ride, who lives 25-30 minutes from the school, with shaky interest, to play a sport. When a kid with interest like that lives within walking distance, or within close range of someone else playing, he just might decide to play. FH has been good in basketball, baseball, and track and field. However, no sport requires #s across the board like football. The poor football history at FH has also limited the number of these good Winter and Spring sport athletes who go out for football. I know while I was there that some were given the option of transferring to schools like NY or Logan or not playing football at all.

However, excuses aside, FH has recently maintained a pee wee football program. They also now have a practice facility. Meanwhile, both of those title have come within the last four years. That is a good trend, and gives a more accurate view of the current state of FH's program. What happened in the 1970s and 80s is irrelevant today.
