SEOAL 2009
Re: SEOAL Predictions
Everyone shouldnt count jackson out either, new young explosive head coach, good senior, a good team i look for them to finish 3rd in the seoal
Re: SEOAL Predictions
Ironton
Logan
everyone else.....
Remember the year ending in nine now...Logan will remember it well after the season ends....their first loss in six years...and finishing second...in the final season of the SEOAL to the best the conference has ever had. Ironton will be very improved this season...nearly everyone on defense is back..including the line and linebackers...our backfield will be just fine in only losing Tony...and swickert...our backs will be exceptional...with a lot coming up from the JV..look for a deep playoff run...and hopefully back to the glory we have all become used to....go tigers
As far as Jackson...Hall is a heck of a coach...and I look for them to finish third...Jackson is always tough...and I feel that they will be again this season...P-town and Gallipolis will do just fine this season too...

Re: SEOAL Predictions
as a fellow loganite, i think logans offense will be darn near unstoppable. not to sure about the defense. it will be hard to replace all those goal line stands last year. if the defense is down, logan will be able to shoot it out with anybody, but that is why they play the game. parents with kids on the team are telling me this team will be better than last year, that remains to be seen, but logan should be able to put up some monster points on the scoreboard. theres alot riding this year, home winning streak, undefeated seoal streak, and has anyone done the math on whether or not when logan plays ironton, will that tie the streak(held by itown) or possibly break it? if so, that will just add to the drama and make for what will be an already exciting game.
as far as predictions, logan should win league, but everybody will be gunnin for them, and the key word there is should. right now everybodys tied for first. and you never know when the injury bug will jump up and bite ya.
heres one logan fan that will wait and see how good the D turns out to B.

I got the info from Irontonfootball.com
Ironton won 7 Straight League Titles Logan has 5 straight right now.
Win Streak??? I came up with 48 Straight SEOAL games without a loss for Ironton from 77-83.
34 straight wins from 71-76

Your right I was counting Portsmouth in the League those years.
Info from Irontonfootball.com
After further researching I came up with 34 straight from 71-76
(71) Lost to Logan (H) 19-22 then won 4 straight beating Wellston, Gallipolis,
Jackson, and Waverly.
(72) Won 7 straight beating Waverly, Athens, Meigs, Logan, Wellston, Gallipolis, and
Jackson.
(73) Won 7 straight beating Jackson, Waverly, Athens, Meigs, Logan, Wellston, and
Gallipolis.
(74) Won 7 straight beating Gallipolis, Jackson, Waverly, Athens, Meigs, Logan, and
Wellston.
(75) Won 7 straight beating Wellston, Gallipolis, Jackson, Waverly, Athens, Meigs
and Logan.
(76) Won 2 straight beating Logan and Wellston
The streak came to an end losing to Gallipolis (A) 14 18
(71) 4
(72) 7
(73) 7
(74) 7
(75) 7
(76) 2
Total 34 straight

Re: SEOAL Predictions
if logan would win all of its league games, what game would the tie fall on? if it would be at i-town this year that would be great! no speaking badly of i-town at all but, in a ticket gate sense or $$$. both sides would be pack and i-town would make some serious jack at the food booths.

Ironton plays Logan in week 5, the 2nd League game of the season for Ironton, should be for Logan also. Still expect to see a big turn out for this game anyhow.

Re: SEOAL Predictions
agreed, itown will want to win no matter what. stopping the current streak is just going to add more intensity to an already intense game. should be a great one. good luck to both squads and the rest of the seoal.

Better remove Zanesville from the poll's options. They are g-o-n-e gone!
BTW, Warren's going to be better than you think . . .
