Some of the Ironton fans might have been able to get an idea from their AD, so maybe they can help out.

Well its game day! Overall the Tigers stayed pretty healthy throughout the week, Culbertson being out isnt going to help but good teams overcome obstacles. Game Day prediction I-20 JM-16. Should be a great day for sports NCAA D-1 Reginal cross country meet then to the Tigers game cant get much better than that. Hope to see as many Ironton fans as possible make the trip. GO TIGERS!!!!!!

Aces, what you have to understand about Ironton football. They never lose a game. Something else causes them to lose. Also, if it is a close game, mistakes they made let you stay in the game.

HMMMM spoken like a true hater.

Ironton fans defend their team like anyone else does what fan wants to admit they are not as good as the believe them to be?
This is a good Ironton team that is getting better every game.
We played a very good AC team and they gave us all we wanted the Tigers defense played top notch in that game and I will agree if Ironton never had them fumbles it wouldn't have been as close as it was.
But they did and they over come them fumbles.
Do I like seeing them lose or beat them self's no but it happens and this team can be a scary team to any opponent in these playoffs if they take care of the ball period.
So no we do not like losing and harder to admit way but there is a few of us that does admit losing and giving the other team credit for beating us.

Its game day, Living here in Jtown the mood here is very excited amd everyone is proud of our boys, our boys know that Ironton will be are toughest game of the year, jtown will bring there A game tonight also you guys are kidding your selfs if SOS going to be a factor, what will be a factor is what team wants it more, focus, heart, teamwork, pride, those are the factors, my gut feeling on this one is Jtowns running attack will be to much for the Tigers and jtown pulls it out in the 2nd half

i'll give johnstown credit as i always do when a team beats us. if they beat us they beat us.then they would be the team that i support. it's only natural to talk about turnovers and speculation. but the only thing i have trouble dealing with is when officials blatantly try to control a ballgame. it doesn't happen very often, but ironton fans know enough about football to know when it is happening.i don't know how actual many playoff games we've played. this is the 29th appearence. i'm sure well over 100. you know when it is going down.

i'm not in anyway, saying that will happen, just following up on comments.with that said. the fighting tigers have played a schedule most d2 powerhouses would be proud of. i can say it won't win the game for us. but it sure prepared us to get to this point.i know it sounds cliche, but we hold onto the ball. and tackle well. the tigers and coaching staff , are too good at managing a game for any team to blow us off a field.

i think the fighting tigers win this game. and move on. 1 play at a time tigers.

YTB - i absolutely think SOS will be a factor. If you played the johnnies schedule you would be 11-0 right now. However, all a team can do is win the games on their schedule. Tonight will be reality check for all of us to see what the Johnnies are really made of. I think ironton having played a tougher schedule and faced adversity will help them in a close game.

I respect the hell out of Ironton and their program. Would love to see them on a long term schedule with Alder. :) Good luck tonight and bring home a win.

ME TOO. THE STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE WON'T WIN THE GAME. AND ALDER HAS PLAYED A BEASTLY ONE AS WELL
but it sure gets you playoff ready. but that's why they play the games, the teams have to execute the game plan, tackle, block. and limit turnovers.
i'm always rooting for my tigers.

should be Shawnee Springfield... they were down the whole game until late. Ended up stopping Dayton Thurogood Marshall on the one yard line to win. The next region looks interesting as Cardinal Mooney beat out Steubenville. We played Cardinal Mooney once before for the State Title in Div IV in 2006.

Thats the beauty of the second season...games get tougher each week and stakes get higher.

Ironton played a very strong schedule there Greenwave that is why I think they will win.
Do they have a 2,000 yard rusher no they don't even have a 1,000 rusher but the schedule had alot to do with that.
Ironton was in every game they played till the forth Quarter turnovers killed them and against good teams you can't do that.
Ironton was with out a good back in Brown till the middle of the year so I believe Irontons schedule will be the difference in this game.

I agree your schedule was tough no doubt about that so it helped you guys get here, but I dont think you guys have faced the type of offence we have, which it hard for any D to stop, also one thing no one is thinking about is passion, this is huge for us first time being here its exciting for our fans, town, parents, mostly players and coaches we waited along time to have our team talked about and chance to have something special we are hungry, but we know we have to get pass a very well a powerhouse team. Best of luck and see you all tonight
Go Johnnies
