somebody said that the kid that was doing that was a transfer in from Martins Fairy. i dunno.
I guess you think that is funny. Kids have been seriously injured with this kind of crap being allowed to go on. They let it happen throughout the whole game. Three of our boys that I know of got cheap shots. One of them got his eyes poked while he was on the ground (not in the course of a play) I am sure there were more that I don't know about. It is bad enough that accidents happen in this sport without all the dirty play that goes on and is even promoted by some coaches. That is why it should not be tolerated at all.

How about the 2 calls you guys got for late hits out of bounds and you guys were holding all night even the ref only saw 1 we got

What the heck are you talking about. JM was holding all night and didn't get called. We did get called for holding. We got called for our mistakes. JM however didn't, they had several late hits. Those things are just part of the game. I am talking about cheap shots when players are down already in the pile.

just because a team is dirty doesnt mean they are bad. johnstown were obviously a good team, but from what i have heard they were a dirty team as well. there really isnt a place for that in football and i dont understand how anyone can defend dirty tactics. the coaches should never let their players play like that. it is completely against the spirit of the game. there are far too many dirty teams out there, ive played my fair share.

Do you not think Ironton kids played dirty????? Think again... Talk to your kids. Ask them what they did to JM. Everything your saying on here Ironton did. JM has a few injured players too. The refs called the game like they seen it. JM got their fare share of flags too. Over all I think it was a great game! Ironton had some big boys but JM is just so much faster. Thank you to all that will continue to support the Johnnies! These boys have set some records this year!

The coaches at johnstown would not tolerate such tactics but I was on the sideline last night and the officials nor anyone that I can think of said anything about it. If that is the case I ll pass it on to the coaches and it will be addressed. The Jtown coaches run a first class program. They are often blamed for being dirty because they play aggressive and to the echo of the whistle. Ironton s holding was a lot more blatant... I did not see Johnstown holding much

There is a big difference in holding and what they were doing. Eye poking, nut twisting, hitting a player already down on the ground after falling on a kick off ball. That player ended up with a sensless concussion. He was already down there was no need to even touch him. Holding happens and did happen on both sides of the ball, that is just part of the game. The other stuff isn't. I am done talking about this. You people are killing me. You just keep bringing up the same stuff. All you got is holding give me a break.

As I said before JM has a good team. We got beat. None of the non-calls would have changed the outcome. I just wish these kids would just play the game and stop with the dirty stuff. And I don't just mean JM this goes on at alot of places and it needs to be stopped.

Well I was going to be a nice fan and not spam you guys, but some of you guys to lose the homerism.. We are the dirtiest team ever? Really? You must have forgot the 2 late hits that were 5 seconds after the play was over. The one on franklin in the endzone, and the one on Smith out of bounds. Which was by your qb, which made it even worse. Just admit you got beat by a better team, The refs didn't change the outcome of the game..

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------you sir hit the nail on the head. i agree with your entire comment. ironton got beat by a better team last night. but they were very, very dirty. and the officiating should be looked into. the first ironton possesion we had 2 helmets ripped off on back to back plays, they warned johnstown, they flagged us. for nowhere near the same.not whining just a fact.johnstown hustled every play, we did not. we were beaten . but the officials let this one get away.

That coach needs to get a grip on his athletes. There game play was great but like I said there sportsmanship was well horrible. There backs was good, and they really got after it from the start, their fans was really into it as well. I do think they will move along fairly well in the playoffs. But i really hate to see this type of team win the state title. I think this all falls back on the officials. They let this game get out of hand. Those officials were quick to flag Ironton for unsportsmanlike penalty but they sure did not call it both ways. I feel that they showed poor officiating. They should have set the tone of the game from the start. They let them Johnnies do as they pleased. That will do nothing but get a kid injured as it did for #88. That is not accetible, those clowns should have never been officiating that game.
Are you serious about Jtown being a bad team Hahah your just mad because Ironton got beat from being said on the Forum Jtown has never played a team like Ironton, this will be the best team they played, Your team lines were Alot bigger than are lines we just had a faster team it's not ironic we have the #2 running back in the state I think Jtown has a awesome team give credit to a good team
I give credit were credit is due. Johnstown is a poor excuse for a good team. I hope they get a taste of their own medicine. If the Johnnies feel as if they have to be dirty to win then so be it. Here at Ironton we play with discipline. That was a sorry excuse for coaching if I have ever seen one. I guarantee that if Lutz boys were doing that then they would have been ejected from the game. But since we played in your all back yard then you all brought you officials with you. I even heard ones name was Johnnie. So shut up and go grab someone elses jewels.

We didn't hit your qb 5 seconds after he was out of bounds did we? Homer.. Or hit your rb after he was in the end zone. Maybe because #45 was too busy trying to start a fight the whole game.. I think you need to watch from both sides bud
