Re: 2008/09 All/SEOAL Girls
WOW.....only 4 Seniors of the 14 girls selected for All League.
Looks like there's going to be some more great SEOAL Basketball next year.

Re: 2008/09 All/SEOAL Girls
Congratulations to Hannah Day POY, also to Mo and Holly. You ladies played hard this year!
I am really curious to know what consideration goes into COY other than just winning the division. I think the COY should be a coach who is able to read other teams and adjust to the situation, inspire their players to a level beyond where they've been before and has admiration and respect of those around them. It is my understanding that Coach Twiggs of ZV has these qualities. Congratulations to him and his team and to all of the girls in the SEOAL.

Coach Hughes has these qualities too...I'm taking it that some at Chilly dont apreciate those qualities? Oh well...Congrats again to Coach Hughes on her award..

Has she really had the best of luck in the three years as coach? Losing players to injury others to transfer. If these things dont happen you are looking at a much happier story to read right now..Considering these facts she was still honored as coach of the year says a lot about her..And oh by the way they did win the seoal south.Congrats Coach!
Re: 2008/09 All/SEOAL Girls
As I said a COY should be able to adjust to the game situation, Coach Hughes was not able to do that in many cases. A COY should be able to inspire their players to go above where they've been before, we lost the league DOC and in the first round of the sectional tournament. And a COY should be respected and admired by those around them. Ask around! (And yes BP we know you do. You are a true blue friend.)
By the way Ironton is still going strong in the tourney. Maybe that coach should have been given some consideration?

You're right I do respect and admire her.Always have and always will..Give her time she will make Chillicothe happy. If not, it will be some other school, just ask Ironton, she only took them to the final four and the regional finals..Sorry, this is just a friends opinion, but the good results cant be denied either.
Re: 2008/09 All/SEOAL Girls
Congratulations to all the girls but especially the Lady Tigers (Mercedes, Brea, Lorna) on their SEOAL selection. And to Chillicothes Hannah Day and Coach Hughes for MVP & COY along with Monique and Holly for all SEOAL.

Good Luck to the Lady Fighting Tigers! They may very well be looking at a District championship.Chillicothe beat ZT very early in the year.Cant tell you much about it because that was one of the few games I missed this year.
