Week 8 - St Charles At Jackson [3:12] Jackson Wins 49-35

Week 9 Bishop Watterson Home Vs St Charles [1:3] St. Charles wins 23-13
Week 10 Bishop Watterson At Jonathan Alder [3:12] Jonathan Alder wins 27-14

I know this doesn't always mean anything but it kind of does. This is Bishop Watterson WEEK 8 vs St Charles and WEEK 9 against Jonathan Alder so you can definitely compare these two games somewhat. Jonathan Alder even had the home game. St. Charles is a better team than what most people think and so are the Jackson Ironmen.

We are from Southeastern Ohio, we can't beat these teams up north in the play offs  let them do the talkin, you guys do the walkin.

I really hope we can keep going deep into the play offs and Drew, Austin, Ty and the other boys play good and get more attention from colleges. They deserve to play somewhere in college just as much as kids from Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland. (not saying Ohio State, Florida, or anything like that but definitely some D-1 schools)

So jackson beats St. Charles, St Charles beats watterson, alder beats waterson... doesnt tell me anything about a Jackson / Alder matchup. Every game has its own circumstances and events. If we use this logic we could pick the winner week 1 and shorten the whole season.

I dont think anyone is slighting Jackson in the least. They are good team. You cant control your schedule (games are contracted years in advance or your in a league) and all you can do is win each game. This will be a very good game. The one thing i noticed is that Jackson has a LOT of 2 way players. Alder only has a few and they are in a rotation and get lots of rest.

If the Ironmen faithful are hoping Alder will overlook them because they're from southern Ohio forget it,, Coach Coate will not let that happen, he knows all too well the Ironmen tradition and history,,this week in practice he will put the fear of god in his players about how good Jackson really is,they will be ready for bear,,and you can't just stop their running game their QB will pick you apart if you give him time, the Logan game was deceiving Logan didn't have the starting QB, but I also think Coate was easy on his old team not pushing too hard to score, can't compare them games to gauge this one,but I think if Jackson can limit their running game and not give the QB too much time to throw they can make this an interesting game,,I will be there can't wait to see this one...

If you really believe that any coach would do that, then I have some property, with a scenic view to sell you......cause if you would buy into that crap, you would buy anything.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's selected that way. I haven't seen the entire team yet, but I would imagine that if a kicker had been selected, it would have been Eisnaugle.

Luke will certainly be All-District and All-Ohio, I would think. He had to have had the best season for a kicker in school history.

Not a fan of not selecting a kicker on the squad.

The selection has nothing to do with the best players for each position. Usually each coach picks their Captains or Seniors.

He did make 0 field goals in league though, you are expected to make extra points, I don't care how many you kick. Not taking anything away from Luke he definitely had a good season. Scored a lot of 1 pointers because he had a very good offense that put it in the end zone. If I had to guess, Warren Local kicker made it, that kid is a good kicker, definitely had a pretty strong leg.

In this years SEOAL 90% of the best players were from Jackson but you are limited to how many you can select, that's why is usually goes to the seniors and leaders of the team.

this week isn't about all league selections, it's about the play offs and I'm sure that is all that these boys care about right now. Usually that is a big subject of talk because there is no more football going on but that's not the case this year. All of the boys deserved honorable mention after the season they had! It's been a great year but I'm not ready for it to end yet!

Yeah....those meetings are almost always great.

It's the best players period regardless of class. I hate when they award an upperclassman if there are others more deserving. I'm not complaining about the ones who were selected...congrats to all, but Luke should be on the all-league squad somewhere. Mullins was a mention a few years ago.

I really don't think their qb will pick us apart. That's why I have a lot of faith in this team is because of there defense. There defensive line puts so much pressure on qb's, the lb's stop the run and contain the outside lanes so well, and the db's are one of the best db groups that you will find. Our corners can line up with just about anyone 1on1 and I'm pretty sure J A doesn't have a D1 Wr that will blow by us because that's about what it will take for someone to kill us with the pass. This team isn't 11-0 just because of a few lethal weapons on offense, they are 11-0 because they play excellent defense and hit the $*it out of people. The most important thing this defense does is FORCES TURNOVERS and lots of them.

That being said, I think Jacksons offense is just as good as its defense :122245

GO IRONMEN

IronmenTradition,

I put the All-SEOAL selections on this thread because I knew that it would be the best place for Jackson fans to see them. I don't have the entire team yet or I would have made an individual thread.

Also, you can't make field goals if you never kick them. You can, however, make 57/58 PATs during the regular season. It's not really a big deal though.

Win #12 is all that matters to the Red & White.

Agree, but it's Tuesday and I thought he deserved league mention.

The Ironmen will be focused!

I wouldn't be the only one to buy that poopie,Logan radio announcers even mentioned it after the game as over,it was painfully obvious they barely passed the whole game and I saw tons of runs right up the middle, so what else could it be not wanting to show too much for future opponents ?????
